E. Rosser
COSTUMES, PUPPETRY, and THEATER TECH
About Me

Welcome! I'm Rosser.
I'm a freelance costumer, designer, and theater technician currently headquartered in Boston, MA.
As an engineer and science writer by training, I will climb atop any soapbox to declare that sewing and fabric craft and puppet building is engineering, darn it. I'm constantly looking for new ways to make solid, durable designs, create memorable characters, and explore new building techniques. I also prioritize sustainability in my designs, tending towards reused, recycled, and repurposed materials.
In my decade-plus of professional theater work, I've been lucky enough to work with companies of various sizes, from pre-Broadway engagements at the American Repertory Theater, to local fringe companies like Moonbox Productions, Speakeasy Stage, and Lyric Stage Boston, to student groups, community theater, and--in one memorable case--running wardrobe out of a dugout at Fenway Park.
On this site, you can see some examples of my work and get in touch if you'd like to embark on a wild scheme together.
